Welcome to the IV E-Course. You will see below the how this IV E-Course is outlined, what you will get and how it will help to enhance your skills.

Registration is currently underway and this 5-week online course will begin on Monday, February 13, 2012.

 This ECourse is about introducing you to the world of Intravenous Admixtures. There are ten core areas we focus on that include: Pharmacy Terminology and Abbreviations, Basic Pharmaceutical Math, Infection Control, Sterilization Methods, Intravenous Admixtures Supplies and Equipment, Chemotherapy, Aseptic Preparation, Quality Control, USP 797 and Process Validation.  

In the IV ECourse you’ll receive information on what Aseptic Technique is and how to perform it on the job. I will be sharing real life examples for some of the math problems you will see. Don’t be afraid of the math either! All problems are worked out so that you can see how to arrive at the answer. I will also provide practical tips and thoughtful guidance on everything from how to clean a flow hood to opening and ampule. I will share how to embrace the opportunity to really make a difference in your career as a Pharmacy Technician.
